Over his accomplished career Ross has advised on numerous landmark transactions in the Australian M&A landscape, and his deep experience in investment banking gives him a reputation for sound commercial judgment and absolute integrity with his clients.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ross was a Senior Manager in the New Mining Business Division of Anglo American Corp.

Ross completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and MBA at the University of Cape Town and received a Graduate Diploma in Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand.

Ross is currently a Board member of the Medical Research Commercialization Fund and President of the Foundation Board and member of the Finance Committee of The Kings School and was previously an executive of the Wallaby/Australian Rugby Union Mentoring Program

Sean Hogan

Sean is an experienced senior executive with a broad background in investment banking, merchant banking & investing, capital markets and treasury.

Much of this experience was gained at Goldman Sachs in Australia where he spent 10 years and held a number of senior positions, including Managing Director and Head of the Principal Investment Area (PIA) and Head of Capital Products Group in Australia and New Zealand .

PIA managed approximately A$1 bn of Goldman Sach’s investable capital. Prior to his time in PIA Sean had extensive experience at Goldman within the Financing Group, co-leading the firm’s efforts in the Capital Products business, which incorporates Goldman Sachs’ Australian debt capital markets, structured financing, leveraged finance and equity linked business. In this capacity Sean lead or was a key advisor on some of Australia’s most prominent financing transactions. During this time he developed a reputation for leadership, innovation, delivery and integrity.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 2002, Sean was Head of Structured Finance and Securitisation at SG Australia and previously held positions with Westpac Banking Corporation in Treasury and Institutional Banking.

Sean commenced a career in finance with Citibank in 1992, prior to which he was an officer in the Royal Australian Navy. Sean completed a BA at the University of New South Wales.

Adam’s career has provided him with extensive transactional experience both in Australasia and EMEA, with a specific focus on financing and advising some of the most prominent companies across the natural resources sector including; Glencore, InterOil Corporation, Newcrest Mining, Norilsk Nickel and Randgold Resources.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland and is a qualified Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Phillip Baruffi


Phillip joined Treadstone Resource Partners in 2018 and has experience in both natural resources investment banking, and operational experience in hard rock mining. Prior to joining Treadstone Resource Partners, Phillip worked at Citi’s Metals and Mining investment banking team in Perth, and Argonauts corporate advisory team in Perth.

Prior to this, Phillip was a Mining Engineer and Alternate Underground Manager at BHP’s Nickel West where he worked across multiple open pit and underground roles at Mount Keith, Leinster, Rockys Reward and Cliffs.
