Meet Ross

Ross has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate finance, particularly in mergers and acquisitions and equity funding.

He spent 23 years at Goldman Sachs working in the New York, London, Melbourne and Sydney offices, with a range of senior roles including Chairman Financing Group and Managing Director and Head of Natural Resources, Australia and New Zealand.

 

2002 – 2012: Chairman Financing Group, Managing Director IBD (including Head of Resources, Consumer, and Healthcare Groups) — Sydney

1996 – 2001: Partner, Executive Director Research Sales – New York

1993 – 1995: Partner, Executive Director Research Sales – London

1990 – 1992: Director, Research Division – Melbourne

 

Over his accomplished career Ross has advised on numerous landmark transactions in the Australian M&A landscape, and his deep experience in investment banking gives him a reputation for sound commercial judgment and absolute integrity with his clients.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ross was a Senior Manager in the New Mining Business Division of Anglo American Corp. Ross completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and MBA at the University of Cape Town and received a Graduate Diploma in Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand.

Ross is currently a Board member of the Medical Research Commercialisation Fund and President of the Foundation Board and member of the Finance Committee of The Kings School and was previously an executive of the Wallaby/Australian Rugby Union Mentoring Program.
